Flyboard Bali: How to Fly Above the Water

The flyboard is the most adrenaline-pumping watersport in Nusa Dua. Strapped to a board connected to a jet ski by a long hose, you use water pressure to rocket above the surface and even dive back in like a dolphin. How the flyboard works

You wear a board strapped to your feet, connected by a long hose to a jet ski. The jet ski pumps water through the hose and out of nozzles under the board, pushing you up. An instructor rides the jet ski and controls the throttle, so the power is always in expert hands while you focus on balance.

Is flyboard safe for beginners?

Yes. You never control the power yourself — the instructor on the jet ski raises and lowers you gradually. A safety briefing and equipment check happen before every session, and a helmet and life jacket are provided. No experience is needed, just a willingness to try.

What to expect your first time

Most first-timers are hovering within a few minutes. You start low to the water, find your balance, and gradually rise higher as you get comfortable. Some guests even try a dolphin dive back into the water on their first session. It is tiring on the legs, so shorter sessions are ideal to start.

What to bring

Wear swimwear and bring sunscreen and a towel — you will be in and out of the water. We provide the flyboard, helmet, life jacket, and a rinse area afterwards.
